Air Jordan 3 Retro 'Knicks'

The Air Jordan 3 'Knicks' pays tribute to one of Michael Jordan's greatest on-court rivalries. The New York Knicks — long a nemesis and perennial thorn in the side of Jordan's Chicago Bulls — provided a constant challenge to the Bulls' dynasty through the late '80s and '90s with their swarming defense and take-no-prisoners style of play.

The design draws specific inspiration from Jordan's infamous 'Virus Game' during the 1987–88 season, in which MJ fought through a severe stomach virus to drop 47 points and lead the Bulls to victory. An inner tongue graphic reading 04.08.88 commemorates that legendary performance.

The upper features a white tumbled leather base with signature elephant print detailing at the toe, mudguard, and eyelets. Blue accents appear on the sock liner, eyelet hits, and tongue, with Air Jordan branding on the heel. A black, grey, and white outsole with classic AJ3 branding completes the look.
